Do you offer address services on a monthly, quarterly or 6 monthly basis?

BACKGROUND   Address services are sold by different industries, eg. Business centres, address agents / virtual office service providers, and company formation agents. Business centres and address service agents may offer contract periods of 1, 3, 6 or 12 months. Our industry offers 12 month contract periods only. So some clients may ask for shorter contract periods, as they may have seen them advertised elsewhere. This kind of question could come from a new client or an existing one who does not want to pay the full 12 month fee for his/her renewal.   THE FACTS   As a company formation agent, address services are not our core product and we do not currently offer address services for anything other than 12 month periods. As you can imagine the administration involved in dealing with terminations, changes of address at Companies House and renewals on a monthly, quarterly or 6 monthly services would be far more taxing than we presently undertake. It would break our system! The longer contract period of 12 months is what everyone wants to sell, to maximise revenue and reduce administration overheads. Of course we cannot tell our client this.   OUR RESPONSE   I am very sorry, but unfortunately our address services are only sold on a 12 monthly basis. This in line with everyone else in our industry, as the vast majority of company formation clients require address services for 12 month periods – to fulfil their statutory obligations to Companies House As company formation agents we are simply not set up to sell these services on a monthly or even 6 monthly basis, due to the complexity of products required and the additional administration involved dealing with renewals, terminations and changes of addresses at Companies House.
