How to change an authentication code

BACKGROUND The authentication code is a sensitive piece of information and acts as a password to make changes to a company. Never give this out over the phone and always advise that this will be sent to the email on file. If a customer wants to change the authentication code, they will need to contact Companies House directly on 0303 123 4500 in order to request this. This will be sent to the Registered Office by post. They may also request to change the code via the Companies House webfiling service here – https://ewf.companieshouse.gov.uk//seclogin?tc=1 If the authentication code has been changed and they want to update this on our system, they will be able to do this through the customer portal on the company overview page by clicking ‘Edit’ next to the Auth Code.
