What are the minimum requirements to become a shareholder?

Any person or corporate entity can become a shareholder of a company in the UK. A shareholder can be of a ny age and can be based anywhere in the world. Whilst most shareholders are people, it is common for shares to be issued to another company (known as a ‘corporate shareholder), especially where there is a group of companies, with a parent company owning a subsidiary.
