Paid and unpaid shares – can we form companies with paid shares?

By default, all companies formed by us will be formed with unpaid shares. There is no section in the application form to allow a customer to choose between paid or unpaid shares. All companies are automatically set up with unpaid shares and we should NOT offer to change this to paid shares at the review stage. Please note: If you manually change an officer and make them into a shareholder in the eFiling admin area, you need to ensure the shares are not paid by removing the value in the ‘Amount paid’ field.
