BACKGROUND Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) codes are used to classify and identify a company’s main business activities, i.e. what the company does. These codes are not legally binding, and the business’ activities are not strictly limited to the SIC codes selected. PROCESS We cannot personally advise on specific codes for customers. However, we should advise them: 1.    What SIC codes are 2.   To look through the options and use the filter box within the application to search for a keyword 3.   That although not legally binding, they do have importance and may have implications on bank applications as some banks will not accommodate for certain code
