VAT – EU customers requesting VAT-free invoices

We are unable to provide VAT-free invoices for customers within the EU. The company formation industry has received a formal judgment from HMRC on charging VAT on company formation and related services to newly formed companies being sold to EU citizens. The HMRC written judgment stated: As the companies being registered are UK companies, registered at a UK address, VAT must always be applied, and in addition all related services being provided are to a UK company, therefore VAT must also be applied. As the point of delivery is within the UK, VAT is due, even if the bill payer is not in the UK. I trust you understand our position on this matter.
