What are dormant company accounts?

Every limited company in the UK is required to file accounts on an annual basis. If your company is classified as dormant (not trading), you do not need to file full accounts; however, you are required to file dormant company accounts.

Dormant company accounts refer to the financial statements and records of a company that is considered dormant. A dormant company has no significant accounting transactions during a specific financial period. In other words, it is a company that exists on paper, but is not actively engaging in business activities.
