What Your Company Formation Order Status Means
After you place a company formation order, your application will be assigned one of the following statuses:
Each status has a specific meaning and may require action.
Incomplete
You have paid for the company formation package, but your application has not been submitted yet. You need to complete your application.
To complete your order:
- Log in to your online portal using your username and password
- On your dashboard, click on My Order History
- Find your company name and click Continue Order
Once you complete the application, you can submit it for processing.
Paused
Your application has been received. However, it is on hold while we wait for more information. Our ID team will contact you by email with instructions.
Step 1: Proof of ID
Use your passport if possible. A national ID card is also accepted.
To make the process easier, we use a secure mobile app called Credas. This app helps you verify your identity digitally in about 5 minutes at no extra cost.
Step 2: Proof of Address
You can submit one of the following documents, dated within the past 3 months:
- Bank statement
- Gas, water, or electricity bill
- Mortgage statement
- Landline telephone bill
If your document is not in English, we may need a certified translation.
Please check your email regularly so we can continue processing your order quickly.
Rejected
Your application was rejected by Companies House. This is not a problem. We are reviewing your order and will resubmit it soon.
We may contact you for more information before resubmitting the application.
Processing or Supplied
We have received your application, completed ID checks, and reviewed your order. The application has been submitted to Companies House.
Company formation is usually completed within 24 hours. This depends on Companies House processing times. They operate Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm.
Once your company is officially formed, we will send you a confirmation email. This email will include all your company documents.
